Online Comic Books

Well, I've been working on these for the last few months now. Not really for anything other than to just hone my creative skills. Actually, I think I might just be getting the hang of photoshop.

If you're interested in comics of what I've been up to, check them out.

My sig...

Well, seeing as how the pic in my sig is so small I thought I'd enlarge it and show you how funny I looked as a kid.

My bathroom BANE!

Well its happened twice now. The unthinkable. The horrible! The terrifying!

I've had to use a "squatter" twice now and let me tell you, it is not a fun experience!!
The thing is, in ideal circumstances I can fathom the logic in the squatter, unfortunately for me though, the times that I have had to use it have been less than opportune.

Now picture yourself in a REALLY BIG HURRY (because if you weren't really in a hurry, would you choose to use this?). Anyways, with my limited flexibility and there being no handles around, I think I've stumbled on to a way to make this work.

NUDE! That's right, if you do it nude, no problems. Good luck on YOUR trials!

Hmmm

Maybe I should make these kind of shots a "theme" of our vacations.

I'm sure Joo would "love them"

Muahahahahahha

I miss my Moonie!

Well, it's about a week until my Moonie comes back from Vietnam. For those who don't know, "Moonie" is my nickname for Joo. I remember after a few weeks of dating here she turned to me one day and said...

"You know, I'm really beautiful." I said I know. She said "No, really! I've got the traditional Korean 'Moon Face', and in the old days it was considered quite beautiful!!"

Now originally I didn't give it much thought. But after being with her for these many years I've grown quite fond of "The Moon".

Rains in Vietnam!

My Moonie (Joo) just e-mailed me and said that it is raining pretty hard in Vietnam.

"Oh, boy here in hanoi is having energy problem. Because the get electircityfrom water and there hasn't been enough water this year so no power....Fortunately, it rained but it rained too much that the actual rain came into thecab. I was so scared cause I never had that experience in my life and I thought the car was gonna stuck in the road. The water was over my knee. It took me 1hour to get to the hotel after lunch and little bit of shopping at the mall. The cab couldn't pass the area in front of the hotel thus I got out off the cab and walked with my sandles in my hands.... oh, boy that was some experience."

I miss ya baby and hope that you're doing ok!!!

PS. Next time bring the camera ;)

Star Wars Ep. III on DVD

Well, it is the 22nd here and I'm pretty sure Star wars is not out in theaters yet. I know everone else has seen it but in Korea the offical date on the posters is the 26th. Doh!

Anyways, some friends and I were out and about yesterday and I happened upon a copy of the movie (!!??) As soon as I got home I put it in the DVD player and... WOW, it's amazing. For some reason there are these dumb numbers on the screen counting the seconds, but other than that is is a great looking video. Not DVD quality, but close.

If you haven't seen this movie yet and you are my friend then GO!

As for me, I'll be waiting to go with my wife when she comes back from Vietnam (lucky her).

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Well, I've been toying with the idea of setting up a blog for some time now. I wasn't sure how easy it would be but so far so good.

I am hoping that this will be an easy way for anyone interested in mine and Joos life to "pop in" and see what we are up to.

Right now (as of may 16), Joo is in Vietnam and having an interesting time of it. We've tried to keep in touch on the phone but the dang phone lines (or her cruddy vietnamese cell phone) are not helping. She is in Hanoi and says its about 40 degrees (ok maybe more like 30 but I'm not one to correct my wife).

Anyways, I just wated to welcome anyone who is coming here and encourage you to leave a comment under any post you'd like.

A New years trip to China

Well, we had planned to go to Koh Phi Phi in Thailand after christmas of 2004 but for some odd reason we changed our minds. Lucky us because there was a massive Tsunami that rolled over what would have been our bungalo.

Instead, we opted for the north of China, Shenyang to be exact. It was cold, bleak, and reminded me a lot of canada. lol

Honestly not many cities can look good in the winter. Shenyang had its interesting points (the statue of Mao pictured below) but for the most part it was just nasty. Lots of poverty contrasted with the "new rich" made for an odd mix. I saw too many people picking food out of the snow, RIGHT BESIDE a brand new, 2005 Rolls Royce.

Some Honeymoon shots.

Ok, now here are some even more outdated shots from nearly a year ago.

man, I should really try to get this page up a current.

Some wedding photos

They are a little "dated" now, but here are some wedding photos.

Here is a shot of Joo and I in traditional Korean garb.
And here we are with some of my old co-workers (not saying they are OLD or anything)
